Nottingham Trent University’s regeneration programme has created this landmark building in Shakespeare Street, in the heart of the city.
The joint venture with UPP (Universities Partnerships Programme) provides 5,500 square metres of accommodation, including over 500 student bedrooms, a sports hall, entertainment area, fitness studio, shop, bars, social space - with a feature 20-foot climbing wall - and health centre.
The TREND Building Energy Management System (BEMS) controls all of the heating, ventilation and domestic services, and collates consumption data from over two hundred energy meters.
